Getting Started

To begin utilizing any of our business products or services you must first open a Share Savings account with a $5.00 deposit. Telhio is a full-service financial cooperative since 1934. Telhio products and services are available to everyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Franklin County and these zip codes extending beyond such as: Canal Winchester, Dublin, Galloway, Johnstown, London, Orient, Pataskala, Pickerington, Powell, Reynoldsburg, and Westerville. Membership is also extended to anyone who is related to a current Telhio member (parent, grandparent, spouse, child, brother or sister) regardless of where they live or work.

Your funds are insured! The savings shares in your credit union are insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), an arm of the National Credit Union Administration. This share insurance is similar to deposit insurance provided by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Click here for more information on NCUA insurance.

Telhio has additional insurance that will provide coverage to our members beyond the typical $250,000 for share savings accounts. This is the highest level of combined federal/private share savings insurance available. This coverage has become available through the addition of excess coverage from the Excess Share Insurance Corporation (ESI).

ESI now provides $250,00 in coverage on top of the federal government's $250,000. Telhio business share accounts are insured for $500,000. The best news for our membership is that this additional insurance is FREE!

Opening a New Business Account

Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information when opening a business account. Documentation varies based on the business type. Telhio has business accounts for the following business types:

Sole Proprietor
- Certificate from Secretary of State
- Copy of any permit/license required for business type
General Partnership
- Certificate from Secretary of State
- Copy of Partnership agreement
- Copy of any permit/license required for business type
Limited Partnership
- Certificate from Secretary of State
- Copy of Partnership agreement
- Copy of any permit/license required for business type
Corporation
- Certificate from Secretary of State
- Certified Articles of Incorporation
Limited Liability Company
- Certificate from Secretary of State
- Certified Articles of Incorporation
