Overview
The protection of our member’s privacy and the safekeeping of confidential information is of greatest concern to Telhio credit Union. Telhio will comply with all applicable laws and regulations concerning the treatment of both member and non-member information, and educate all consumers to their privacy rights under law. This policy outlines the purposes for which consumer information will be collected and released outside the credit union.

Information Collected
Telhio Credit Union will only collect information necessary to establish an on-going relationship with members and consumers. Information on an individual may be collected from a variety of sources, including but not limited to: membership application, loan application and credit reporting agencies. Furthermore, Telhio will take reasonable precautions to protect the accuracy and reliability of this information.

Information Shared with Affiliates and Third Parties
Telhio Credit Union will not sell nonpublic personal information on its members or consumers to any third party. The Credit Union may disclose nonpublic personal information about an individual under the following circumstances:

• With consent (when applicable). 
• In order to affect a transaction. 
• To protect the interests of the credit union. 
• Or, for other purposes permitted by law or regulation. 

Third Party Privacy Standards
Telhio Credit Union will only disclose nonpublic personal information about its members or consumers to affiliates and third parties who demonstrate a consistent commitment to the protection of confidentiality of consumer information, and who have adopted privacy policies comparable to those adopted by Telhio Credit Union.

Security & Confidentiality
As part of the commitment to protect the confidentiality of consumer information, Telhio will establish procedures, conduct training for staff and board members on the importance of consumer privacy, and appoint a Privacy Coordinator who will maintain compliance for this policy and its procedures. Staff will only be permitted to access consumer information when necessary for business reasons. Finally, Telhio Credit Union will establish appropriate security standards to protect against unauthorized access to consumer information.

The Privacy Policy is posted on the website and is shared with our members each year.
