Get Those Cans Ready for the
2nd Annual Feed the Dream Food Drive!

We are so excited to kick off the New Year with our second annual Feed The Dream Food Drive on MLK day to honor Martin Luther King Jr. and his vision for peace in the community. We can all be inspired by Dr. King's efforts to do what we can when it comes to lending a helping hand to our neighbors that need it most. We are especially excited this year because COSI (Center of Science and Industry) is helping out by collecting cans with us on MLK Day, and the days leading up to it!

Why Feed The Dream? The idea for Feed The Dream started five years ago in Licking County with the goal of donating one ton of food per day. We loved this idea so much that we decided to become an official partner to increase those efforts and host a drive here in Columbus. And guess what?! Last year we raised over 9 TONS of food. This year, we plan on accomplishing that, and then some!

Here are the details:

Day and time?
Monday, January 18th from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

What can be donated?
Non-perishable food items or cash

Drop off locations?

Telhio Grove City branch - 4236 Buckeye Parkway, Grove City
Telhio Reynoldsburg branch - 8010 E Broad St, Blacklick

COSI Science Center - 333 W. Broad St., Columbus (Jan. 13th-18th)

Help us spread the word!

This isn't a wedding invitation, no need to keep the invite to yourself! Share the details with friends, family, business owners - and everyone you know in the Telhio community! It's easy, just share this article on Facebook, or invite friends to our Facebook event page. Together we can help build strong communities, and that means beating hunger first! Also be sure to show off your donations by snapping a photo on Instagram or tweeting out a quick message on Twitter.

Bonus: Follow @telhiocu and use the hashtag #FeedTheDreamCbus on the day of the event for a chance to win a Telhio prize pack!

Not only do we love hosting the food drive because it helps those in need, we also do it because it's a super fun day! Here's what our staff had to say about last year's event:

"I believe, to whom much is given, much is required. As a man who's been given much, I feel it is my responsibility to reciprocate my services to the advancement of our community. It is said, that we make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give!" -Aaron Hollingsworth (Operations Support Rep)

"When Feed the Dream was brought to us as a challenge, I couldn't wait to be a part of such an amazing event. My fondest memories have always been when I was volunteering and helping others; it was a no-brainer to be as active as possible in TAG and do everything I could to help launch the first FTD Columbus...The dedication and motivation of all the members of TAG and those closely working with us is inspirational. Here's to another fantastic FTD and over 15 tons!"
Adina Schultz (Mortgage Sales Assistant)

"My favorite FTD 2015 moment was seeing the overwhelming support and smiling faces of those who came out to support the movement including: Telhio peers, their families, news station, and all of the people who stopped by to drop off food and cash donations...even those who just wanted to say thank you for the community service. Flagging down cars for a good cause wasn't too bad either; it took me back to my cheering days!" -Kionna Oatneal (Contact Center Supervisor)

"I chose to participate in Feed The Dream because I feel it is important to help people that are less fortunate than us. My favorite FTD moment was witnessing all the acts of kindness. I am excited to exceed our goal from last year." -Donna Dettorre (Member Service Rep)
