This past Saturday, the 9th annual "Dig It for the House" charity volleyball tournament was put on by the Red Shoe Society. The Red Shoe Society is a young professional's organization dedicated to supporting the ever increasing fundraising and volunteer needs of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio.
This year, 47 teams and 173 individual supporters participated in the event. For the 4th consecutive year, Telhio participated in the "Dig it For the House" Charity Volleyball Tournament. This year, Red Shoe Society fired up for the grill, grilling hamburgers and hot dogs for charitable donations, and raised nearly $2000 on food donations alone.
Dig It for the House broke their donation record this year, earning $47,070 for Ronald McDonald House Charities. Both IGS Energy and Telhio participated as sponsors for the event. The event was a blast.
Members of the Red Shoe Society benefit by taking part in hands-on volunteer opportunities, serving in a leadership capacity, or through the various networking opportunities the organization provides.
