Telhio Credit Union Offers Special Youth Savings Incentives For Credit Union Youth Month

COLUMBUS, Ohio (April 2, 2018) - Telhio Credit Union will be celebrating Credit Union Youth Month during the month of April with a special savings match program for youth accounts.

The theme of this year's program at Telhio is "The Science of Saving." The purpose of this coordinated effort is to teach children the value of savings and why having a savings account is important.

"Finding ways to support our community is a priority at Telhio. Credit Union Youth Month is a perfect program for us to help teach children and their parents the importance of savings," said Karen Daniels, Chief Retail Officer. "This is another way that we demonstrate to our members that they are our priority, not our profits."

There will be several components to the program for children, who can visit a local Telhio branch to participate. Each branch will have fun, engaging activities and giveaways that underscore the importance of saving. Parents and children are also encouraged to open a youth savings account during the month of April. Children who open a youth savings account will choose a lollipop from a savings tree to determine if Telhio matches up to $5, $10 or $25. More information about Credit Union Youth Month is available at
